As the TDP-led NDA Government in Andhra Pradesh completed one year in office on Thursday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu promised to roll out more welfare schemes with the State attracting huge investments in steel, shipping, agro-industries, renewable energy and other thrust areas.

Addressing a press conference here along with his son-Minister for IT, Electronics and Education Nara Lokesh, he said the double engine ki sarkar is doing the wonders after the people gave a massive mandate to them giving, what he said, a big blow to the 'Draconian rule' of the erstwhile government.

The scheduled 'Suparipalana Swarnandhra Pradesh' celebrations to mark one year celebrations at a resort at Poranki was put off to June 13 due to the tragic crash landing of an UK-bound Air India Boeing Dreamliner in Ahmedabad earlier in the day.

In a post on X, he said they will execute more welfare and development schemes in course of time. To mark the first year completion, the government launched the 'Tali Ki Vandanam' scheme, one the promises made in the Super Six Guarantees. The government has already decided to launch free RTC bus travel to women from Independence Day.

The Chief Minister said "Annadata Sukhibhava' will be launched during the current month to offer a financial aid of Rs.20,000 per annum to farmers. The 'Tali Ki Vandanam' is renamed to the 'Amma Vodi' scheme implemented by the YSRCP Government. The coalition now does not restrict the number of school going children to get benefits under the refurbished scheme. The government said it has credited Rs.8,745 crore to bank accounts of mothers under 'Talli Ki Vandanam.'

Lokesh said they had attracted investment proposals worth Rs.9.5 lakh crore with a job commitment of 8.5 lakh in the past one year. He said with the support of the Central Government, they are committed to accelerate development in Andhra Pradesh and rebuilding Amaravati as a futuristic capital. He said the State had attracted the highest domestic investment of 16% with prominent players TCS, ArcelorMittal-Nippon India, NTPC Green Energy Ltd, Reliance, BPCL, LG and others coming forward to make huge investments in various projects in Andhra Pradesh.
